Mark your calendar and plan to attend the AFT Northwest Leadership Forum, July 14-16, in Vancouver, Washington. AFT-Oregon and AFT Washington are co-hosting the event to address leaders’ training needs in the absence of AFT’s ULI-West.
The training program features four main course options, including:
- Care and Feeding of Grievances,
- Managing the Grievance Administration Process,
- Strategic Negotiations, and
- Union 101.
Also offered will be nine mini-workshops, including: Benefits of Belonging, Building the Political Power of Your Local Rank and File, The Hand of Friendship: Union Style, Union Leadership--Do I Need to Act Differently, Treasurers: Report Per Capita, Building Your Local Through Human Rights, Duty of Fair Representation, and Understanding Just Cause.
